The Celtic-rock husband and wife duo Gypsy Soul recently moved back to the Rogue Valley after spending a few years in Washington.

The couple, Cilette Swann and Roman Morykit, maintain a very busy touring schedule that will bring them close to home this week for its fifth annual "Concert Under the Stars."

The concert will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 17, at Voorhies Mansion on the grounds at Eden Valley Orchards/Eden Vale Winery, 2310 Voorhies Road, Medford.

There will be a pre-concert event at 6 p.m. with food; wine tasting with Patrick Fallon, Eden Vale's wine maker; and the opportunity to meet with the performers.

Guest musicians for the "Concert Under the Stars" include Mikey Stevens on bass and horns, Michael Forney on percussion and guitar and Jeff Pevar on guitar.

Gypsy Soul's music has been characterized as a blend of acoustic rock with Celtic and Americana roots. Swann's vocals are partnered with Morykit's bass and guitar counterpoint. The group's songs have been featured in television and film in more than 14 countries, on TV shows such as "Providence," "Roswell" and "Felicity," and in several MTV specials, movies-of- the-week and feature films.

Their newest album, "Beneath The Covers: A Rediscovery," pays homage to some of the artists and writers who have inspired them musically and lyrically. Also featured is the original song "Silver Lining."

The CD debuted at Number 7 on the International New Age/Ambient/World Radio charts for June and was Number 5 for July.

Tickets are $20 for the concert only and $30 for the concert and the pre-concert event. Tickets are available at Music Coop, Willow Creek and Soundpeace, Ashland and at Eden Valley Orchards. Food, desserts, drinks will be available for purchase at the event. See .
