Guitarist Craig Chaquico will join Tower of Power Friday, June 27, in a co-billed concert at the Britt Pavilion in Jacksonville. Chaquico replaces David Sanborn, whose management announced he was cancelling tour dates due to pneumonia.

Chaquico is best-known as a guitarist and songwriter with chart-topping rockers Jefferson Starship, later the Starship, in the 1970s and '80s.

But he's also hit the top of the charts in the 1990s and since, selling more than a million album copies as a solo artist playing smooth jazz.

In his latest CD, "Finding His Way Back," Chaquico returned to his rock roots. This year he's put together a show that incorporates many of his old Jefferson Starship hits as well as original tunes and guitar-driven nuggets from classic rock.

Tickets for the Sanborn-Tower of Power show are still good for admission to the Chaquico-Tower of Power show.
