  • A fire burning near Crater Lake National Park's southern boundary has not grown beyond its original 25-acre mark and is 75 percent contained.
A post on the park's Facebook page says a fire line has been drawn around the Pumice Flat fire, which is burning in mixed conifer forestland that includes hemlock, fir and pine trees. Spot fires continue to ignite on the fire's north end, but crews are continuing mop up efforts today.
There are six engines, a helicopter and 208 personnel fighting the blaze. There are no reported closures in the park because of the fire.
