    Pilots split twin bill at Henley

  • KLAMATH FALLS — Henley stormed back from two runs down to take the first game on a walk-off single, but Ashland got revenge in a big way by pounding 15 hits in the nightcap.
    Henley won the opener 5-4, but the Pilots took the nightcap, 16-6 in five innings.
    Ashland pitcher Kyle Milgram held Henley to two runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings in the opener but Pilots' relief pitcher Nick Sanderson took the loss after Henley rallied with three straight singles in the bottom of the seventh.
    Game 2 was a different story. Sanderson was 3-for-4 with his first home run and four RBIs, Jerry Carroll 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs, Caleb Bell 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs and Tarquin Daley 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs to lead the Pilots (10-17).
