Matt Flynn pitched five solid innings and received plenty of run support from Jerry Carroll, Tarquin Daley and Jett Hamik in the opener, and Ashland dominated the second game as well to complete a nonleague sweep of Klamath Falls at North Mountain Park.
Ashland won the opener 11-1 in five innings and the second game 10-2.
Flynn held the visitors to one run on three hits to improve to 2-2. He struck out six and walked three for the Pilots (9-14), who finished the game early by the 10-run mercy rule. Carroll (2-for-2, two RBIs, two runs), Daley (2-for-3, four RBIs) and Hamik (2-for-3) led Ashland's eight-hit attack in the opener.
In the nightcap, Ashland starter Noah Falkner limited the Renegades to one unearned run on two hits in four innings before giving way to Evan McLennan. Shea Scott was 1-for-1 with an RBI and two runs scored, while Tyler Clary was 1-for-1 with two runs scored to pace the Pilots' offense.
