Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Southern Oregon University will host two weekend open houses to showcase organizations that strive to keep older adults intellectually stimulated and socially connected.
OLLI also will give a preview of its nearly 100 courses offered fall term.
The first will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Schneider Museum of Art and Meese Auditorium on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd. Free parking will be offered at SOU lots across from Starbucks on Frances Lane.
The second open house will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at the RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, 101 S. Bartlett St., Medford. Free parking is available.
The open houses will feature representatives from AARP, AAUW, Ashland Independent Film Festival, Ashland at Home, Chamber Music Concerts, COHO, Ashland New Plays Festival, Jackson County Library Services, League of Women Voters, Schneider Museum of Art, ScienceWorks and SOU.
Door prizes, provided by OLLI partner organizations, will include artwork, gift cards, wine, event tickets and a Kindle Fire HD reader. Refreshments will be provided by the Rogue Valley Manor and The Springs at Veranda Park.
