Explode-a-Tron at Oberon's

 Posted: 2:00 AM June 26, 2014

Explode-a-Tron combine thrash metal and punk rock to create a loud, fast and chaotically unstructured sound that Marshall Falcon, producer and engineer at Roadrunner Studios in Eugene describes as "a buffet of brutal, experimental insanity."

The Eugene duo — jeffreyTron (guitar and vocals) and jeremyTron (drums and vocals) — released its debut full-length album in 2011 and has since toured the Northwest relentlessly. They due has shared the stage with notable bands, including the stars of the documentary "Heavy Metal Baghdad," Iraqi metal outfit Acrassicauda.

Explode-a-Tron will play at 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at Oberon's Tavern, 45 N. Main St., Ashland. The duo will be joined by Boston art-rock band Bent Knee. There is no cover.
