Christopher Stevens, Chris to his many friends and family, died Tuesday, June 3, 2013 in a fatal car crash. Chris was born in Ashland, Ore. August 25, 1994 and lived both there and in Talent, Ore. where he graduated from High School. He moved to Camarillo, Calif. to room with his sister, Mindy, where he found work. He enjoyed his job with Hurley surf wear and his new friends.
Everywhere Chris went he found friends. His always cheerful grin and upbeat attitude endeared him to teachers and adults as well. He is survived by his parents; Meg Selby of Talent and Gordon Stevens of Medford; sisters, Mindy Welsh, Jordan and Samantha Stevens; grandparents, Maggie Selby Calhoun of Nev. and Gary and Vanita Stevens of Medford. His grandfather Philip Selby preceded him in death. An uncle, Thad Selby and aunts Elizabeth (Andy) Eriks, Suzanne Tudor, Dr. Jeanne (Ted) Savage, Rhonda Stevens and 11 cousins share the family loss.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Lithia Park Band Shell area. Friends are cordially invited to share this time with Chris's family.
