DA's office wants volunteers to help crime victims

The Jackson County District Attorney's Office is on the lookout for volunteers to help in the office's victims' assistance program.

The position is an on-call position with possible working days of Tuesday through Thursday, hours varied between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Volunteers should have strong communication skills, and should feel comfortable talking to law enforcement and people who are angry or upset.

A criminal background check is required and candidates with a knowledge of criminal justice process are preferred.
