The weather forecast for a high temperature in the 80s with sunny skies. So far, it's looking to stay that way all week. Start it off with a hike. There are so many to choose from. See some of the offerings at mailtribune.com/hiking.
If you have young children, the Central Point, Medford and Ashland libraries are offering free story times at 11:30 a.m., and 6 and 6:30 p.m., respectively. The events are geared toward children ages 2 through 6.
And whether you have children or not, have you checked out the Prehistoric Predators exhibit at ScienceWorks yet? The attraction boasts life-sized robotic dinosaurs that interact with viewers through video technology. The museum is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is at 1500 E. Main St. in Ashland. When it starts to cool down this evening, head inside for a free classical music show. Rogue Community College's community orchestra will present one at 7 p.m. in Building C, 130 E. Eighth St., Medford, on the RCC campus. There will be light classical selections and an arrangement of Sinfonia Concertante for oboe and orchestra by composer Hans Lindner, The free event is directed by Gary Kroll.
