Early returns show voters want GMO crops banned

Roughly 66 percent of Jackson County voters favored banning GMO crops in the first round of election results released tonight.
Early returns show 29,925 votes in favor of the ban and 15,173, or 33 percent, against Measure 15-119.
In other countywide measures, voters were approving funding districts for both libraries and the Extension Service.
Election officials said 39 percent of votes had been counted.
