Ashland singer, songwriter and guitarist Craig Wright, along with drummer Brian Scalise and bassist Joe Cohoon, plays neo-outlaw and Creole blues.

While Wright — originally from Louisiana — writes music that leans more toward a New Orleans sound, he isn't averse to other musical styles.

"I play all kinds of stuff," Wright says. "I throw a bit of everything in there. It'll be a good time, Saturday-night-fish-fry kind of vibe."

He plans to play new original songs along with some surprises that the audience will recognize.

Wright plays at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland. The cover is $5.
