Volunteers can help protect Ashland watershed

 Posted: 3:00 PM April 29, 2014

The Ashland Forest Resiliency Project is seeking volunteers to help protect the city's watershed with a work party from 8:30 to noon Saturday, May 3. RSVP's are required because space is limited. RSVP to Molly at The Nature Conservancy:

Volunteers will rake duff away from the bases of legacy trees to protect them from damage by fire. Some work will be on steep hillsides.

The Ashland Forest Resiliency Stewardship Project is sponsored by The Nature Conservancy, the City of Ashland, Lomakatsi Restoration Project and the U.S. Forest Service.
