Reptiles and amphibians visit Ashland library

 Posted: 12:00 PM April 16, 2014

Animal enthusiasts ages 3 and older can meet a box turtle, bearded dragon lizard and various frogs from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd.

John Jackson will present a program about reptiles and amphibians, explaining the difference, the role they play in the environment and their life cycles. He will bring live animals so kids can feel the difference between the dry, scaly reptiles and the smooth, slippery amphibians.

Adults are welcome at the presentation and children younger than 6 must be accompanied by a grown up, organizers said.
