  • The public is invited to attend a reception and auction 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Belle Fiore Winery in Ashland.
Local wineries, restaurants and other supporters have donated special cases of wine, winery dinners, and vacation packages to fund the campaign to pass Measure 15-121, which would create a Jackson County 4-H, Master Gardener and Agricultural Service District.
The proposed district aims provide stable funding for the agency, and voters will have their say on the May 20 ballot.
Local wine aficionados Dr. Peter Adesman and Conde Cox have agreed to serve as auctioneers for the evening.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.BelleFioreWine.com/events. Appetizers from local restaurants and a complimentary glass of wine are included in the $50 ticket price. Tickets will be $60 after April 18.
