  • Officials from the Ashland Forest Resiliency Project will host a public tour of the Ashland watershed 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12.
    The tour will visit project areas near the White Rabbit trailhead, a site for planned upcoming controlled burns. The tour will also head out to the Ashland Creek Research Natural Area to look at forest thinning already underway.
    To sign up for the tour, contact Ashland Fire & Rescue Forestry Division Chief Chris Chambers at 541-552-2066 or by email at chamberc@ashland.or.us. Attendees should wear sturdy shoes and bring a snack or water.
