Learn about the origins of whales

 Posted: 12:20 PM April 04, 2014

Jon Peters will present a talk on the origins of whales at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at ScienceWorks, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland.

Peters will show evidence detailing how whales have evolved from a deer-like ancestor to the aquatic forms that we know today. Evidence comes from newly discovered fossils, anatomical features of living whales and newly revealed DNA comparisons between whales and hippos.

Admission is $10 at the door and free to students with ID.
