Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Southern Oregon University invites Rogue Valley adults to try its spring 2014 term for just $75.
The program, geared for people 50 and older, offers nearly 100 courses this term in Ashland and Medford. Annual membership usually costs $125.
There is no fee per course and members can enroll in as many classes as they want, space permitting.
Spring term begins March 31. Registration starts March 5 and course assignments are made by a computerized lottery on March 19. Enrollment continues through the term, but early registration boosts the chance of getting a seat in popular courses, organizers said.
The range of courses offered this spring includes art, dance, film, games, health, history, literature, music, personal development, science, technology, and writing, organizers said. Classes are open to all, with no prerequisites.
All classes have no tests to take, no papers to write and no final grades, focusing instead on lively discussion.
