 Posted: 1:30 PM February 25, 2014

World Day of Prayer will be celebrated in the Rogue Valley from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, March 7.

The service, hosted by Presbyterian women, will be at Calvin Hall of the First Presbyterian Church of Ashland, on the corner of Walker Avenue and Siskiyou Boulevard in Ashland.

The theme "Streams in the Desert" will be explored in word, music and prayer. Christian women of Egypt wrote the service, which will be led locally by women from five churches. The same service translated into the local language will be held in 170 countries.

Following the worship service is a time of fellowship and refreshment. All are invited.
