Professional golfer Jason Allred and his wife, Kimberly, had their third child, a girl, Monday night and Allred will play this week in the PGA Tour's Honda Classic.
Allred, from Ashland, made news last week when he said he'd leave the PGA Tour's Northern Trust Open if the baby was on her way. This despite being having the best showing of his professional career.
After Monday qualifying, he placed third and earned entry this week at Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., but it wasn't certain if he'd playing because of the impending birth.
Allred's agent, Tommy Limbaugh, announced the birth via Twitter and confirmed his client will play in the Honda.
The Allred's new edition weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches, according to Limbaugh.
