Sandra L. Sandy Eldridge passed away at her home in Ashland, Ore. January 24, 2014. Born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, January 2, 1956, she was predeceased by her parents, John Jefferson and James Lynn Jimmie Emmons.
Sandy grew up in El Paso, Texas, where she graduated from Irvin High School in 1973. She attended El Paso Community College and the University of Texas at El Paso before beginning her working life in Alaska, Wyoming, and California. She settled in Ashland in 1994.
Sandy always loved caring for kids and had lots of practice on her nieces and nephew. When she was fortunate enough to have three children of her own to love, they were absolutely the center of her days, but perhaps the most gratifying moments came as a Grandma, when she was blessed with four perfect grandchildren.
Her generous spirit, gigantic heart and humorous outlook on life will never be forgotten by her many friends and family, but it is Sandy's laugh that will resonate through the lives of all who knew her and continue into eternity to cool down Hell and warm up Heaven.
Sandy is survived by her husband, Howie Eldridge; her children, John Ryan Mitchell and Jasmine Rae Eldridge of Ashland, Ore., and Jeffrey Charles Mitchell of Tacoma, Wash.; her sisters and their husbands, Bettee (Mickey) Caldwell of Kamloops, B.C., Helen (Joe, deceased) Jackson of Bellingham, Wash., and Jeffrie (William) Husband of Corvallis, Ore.; and her four grandchildren, Monaco Eldridge, Jackson and Jillian Mitchell, and Makaylie Mitchell. Sandy was predeceased by her first husband, David Mitchell.
Love you more....
Sandy's Remembrance celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 1, 2014 in the Community Center at Lithia Park, 59 Winburn Way, Ashland, OR.
