Jimmy was born to James E Dedrick Sr., and Anita J. Dedrick on February 16, 1953, in Ithaca N.Y. He moved with his family to Alaska in August 1964, traveling the Alcan Highway with his mother, grandmother and six siblings in a Chevy Greenbrier van. After serving in the Navy in the early 70's Jimmy married Bonnie Stanley on January 16, 1974, together they had four sons: the twins, James III and Jamie, who passed shortly after birth never making it home from the hospital, Andy James and Travis Lee. Jimmy was a dedicated worker, making a living as a carpenter and having a desirable reputation as a finish carpenter. His latest occupation as building maintenance for the Medford School District quickly earned him a lead position.
Jimmy was a free spirit; he loved riding his motorcycle with his wife Lindy, often taking weekend trips to the Oregon Coast, or wherever their spirits would take them. He was also a member of the Eagles Lodge where he was well respected.
He was preceded in death by his twin sons, James III and Jamie, ex-wife Bonnie, sister Becky, brothers Donnie and Bob, and father James Sr.
