The deadline for parents providing schools and child care facilities with their children's immunization records is Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Children whose parents do not submit the records will not be able to attend school starting on that day. Per state law, all children in public and private schools, preschools, Head Start programs and certified child care facilities must have either up-to-date documentation on immunizations or have a religious or medical exemption.
Parents who need immunizations for children should contact their health care provider or local health department. They can also call Oregon SafeNet at 1-800-723-3638. Additional information can be found online at www.healthoregon.org/imm.
