Hanna Greenberg had a career day, tallying 17 points, 10 rebounds and two assists to help the Grizzlies snap a three-game losing streak with a 54-35 nonleague win over Hidden Valley, Thursday at Mountain Avenue Gym.

Georgia Williams added 12 points, nine rebounds and two blocks and Jordan Tilley five boards for the Grizzlies (6-8), who outscored the Mustangs 27-13 in the second half to win going away.

Hidden Valley (1-9) was led by Megan Schiavone (10 points).

Ashland head coach Ashley Hafner said Greenberg's explosion was a long time coming.

"(Greenberg) is a very hard worker and she's very hard on herself," Hafner said. "She's been in the gym working really hard every day. We had a much better flow (Thursday), and part of it was her hard work."

The Grizzlies also received 12 points from Michaela Dunn, and survived an 8-for-16 effort at the free throw line by putting together what Hafner called the team's most complete effort of the season.

"It was just a team effort all around tonight," she said. "A lot of people put up numbers that they hadn't and that was team basketball."
