  • "Life is full of choices of what to hold on to and what to let go of," says Ashland-based singer, songwriter Elias Deleault. He bases his newest album, "Hold On, Let Go" on this concept.
The album, which began as a series of songs Deleault wrote for his wife, reflects themes of struggles, death and romance. It follows the traditions of American folk music while also incorporating modern folk sounds.
Deleault takes the stage Friday, Jan. 17, at the Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland. The free show starts at 9 p.m. and also features Ashland folk-rockers Black Bears Fire who released its debut album, "Start Sleeping In," in December.
