  • Since their early teens, Bil and Jay Leonhart have been entertaining audiences across the country. Becoming local TV stars in their hometown of Baltimore, the pair became a touring banjo act. Bil is now based in Ashland and Jay in New York.
    Bil has been featured in Downbeat magazine alongside Charlie Byrd in an article about fingerstyle guitar soloists, and Jay has become a highly sought after studio bassist, working with everyone from James Taylor to Ozzy Osbourne. Jay visits Bil once a year so the pair can perform together.
    The Leonhart Brothers play at 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the Avalon Bar and Grill, 105 W. Valley View Road in Talent. They will be joined by guitarist Jeff Pevar. There is a meet and greet at 7 p.m. The show costs $15 to $20.
