    Grizz boys fall at Henley

  • KLAMATH FALLS — Senior forward Collin Malcolm erupted for 23 points, seven rebounds and four blocks, but Ashland's comeback attempt fell short in a 54-50 nonleague loss to Henley on Tuesday.
    Mitchell Harfst added seven points, four assists and two steals and Jack Feinberg 10 points for the Grizzlies (4-8).
    "In my mind, there are so many things to build on because they really ran our offense as well as I would want," Ashland coach Jeff Schlecht said. "We had turnovers and missed shots, but still, we kind of controlled the tempo and almost pulled it off."
    Henley (8-4), which has won three in a row, was led by Jesse Hilyard's 20 points.

    Girls Basketball
    At Klamath Falls, Georgia Williams tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Michaela Dunn scored 15 points, but Ashland (5-8) couldn't overcome an eight-point first half in a 51-32 nonleague loss to Henley on Tuesday.
    For Henley (10-1), Heidi Mueller and Natalie DeLonge scored 18 points apiece.
