Writing workshop focuses on health benefits

A workshop on the benefits of writing for health reasons will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, in the Adams Room of the Medford library, 205 S. Central Ave., Medford.

Linda Barnes, president of the National Federation for Biblio/Poetry Therapy, will lead the workshop. The event is for poets, writers, teachers, health care professionals and religious leaders.

The event is sponsored by the Oregon Poetry Association's Rogue Valley Chapter. The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Email marisahp9@gmail.com to register or for more information.
