Teens in the junior company from Camelot Theatre's Conservatory program celebrate the influences of jazz, rock 'n' roll and pop music on American musicals in "Rockin' Broadway!" an original revue with script by Brian O'Connor, Camelot's sound and video designer and owner of Shamrock Productions based in Talent.
The musical highlights 17 songs from such shows as "Chicago," "Godspell," "Rent," "Legally Blonde," "Pitch Perfect," "The Wiz" and more. Follow the young artists of Camelot Conservatory as they rock out through the ages in this fun-filled original production.
Performances are set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Jan. 2-4, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Camelot Theatre, 101 Talent Ave., Talent. Tickets cost $12 or $7 for students, and can be purchased at the box office from noon to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and one hour before performances. Tickets also are available online at www.camelottheatre.org or by calling 541-535-5250. Reserved seating can be purchased for an additional $2 per ticket.

Sixteen students ranging from 12 to 17 years of age made up Camelot's junior company: Tessa Buckley, Kreshana Belaise-Baker, Caitlin Campbell, Cadaxa Chapman-Ball, Shaundra Cook, Maya Davis, Lauren Green, Julia Holden-Hunkins, Annika Larsen, Keely McLean, Sierra Milburn, Lindee Newman, Maya Ryall, Grace Schroeder, Sarah Stauff and Ceili Widman.
The students are joined by director and choreographer Rebecca K. Campbell, musical director Karl Iverson and choreographer Sara Gore.
Campbell is a regular of Camelot Theatre's stage company. She appeared in the title role of its recent production of "Evita."
Gore choreographed Camelot's 2013 production of "Ug, The Caveman Musical." She also starred as Peggy Sawyer in its 2012 production of "42nd Street."
Iverson, an accompanist as well as musical director, has worked on about 30 musicals with Camelot Theatre since 2004, either on stage or in the orchestra. He's also been a member of the Southern Oregon University Chamber Choir and the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers.
