Clarice Ilene Anderson was born in Medford, Ore. July 6, 1927, the only child of Clarence I. Homes and Vera G. Homes.
She passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 in Woodbridge, Va.
Clarice is survived by her son, Douglas; her two grandchildren, Paul Anderson and Christina Clark; and her two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Caleb Clark.
Clarice spent her early childhood living in the house that served as the old stage coach stop in Talent, Ore. Her family moved to Ashland, Ore. when she was 11 years old.
After graduating from Ashland High School, Clarice attended one year at Oregon State University where she played the bassoon and clarinet in the marching band.
In 1955 she married Norman Ritchie Anderson, deceased, of Alhambra, Calif. and lived in San Leandro, Calif. where she gave birth to her son Douglas, and later lived in Downey, Calif. In 1959, Clarice moved back to Oregon where she served as a county elections clerk in Medford, Oregon and as a bookkeeper and office manager for Western Oil and Burner Company in Ashland, Ore. She retired to Brookings, Ore. Since November, 1998 Clarice has lived with her family in Woodbridge, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at Miller Funeral Home in Woodbridge, Va. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.
