Drive carefully this morning

 Posted: 9:35 AM December 21, 2013

The National Weather Service in Medford cautions that drivers could encounter patches of ice this morning, especially in shady and north-facing areas.

Rain and pockets of freezing rain overnight could make conditions hazardous in some parts of Southern Oregon this morning, especially in Trail, Shady Cove, Ashland and the Applegate Valley.

Temperatures are predicted to steadily warm by late morning, however, melting any new ice that has formed, the weather service says.

Fog is predicted throughout the week, with freezing fog on Sunday and Tuesday nights.
