Dance performance celebrates solstice

Dancing People Company will present its eighth annual winter solstice dance performance and community dance, "Call Back the Sun," with shows set for 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21 and 22, at the Historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St., Ashland.

This year, the Curtain Climbers Aerial Arts, English Country Dance Group, guest dancer Alonzo Moore, Peter Gross Ensemble, guitarist Matt Grubb, singer Vanessa Nowitsky and Druid's Dharma members Heather Hutton, David Bylsma and Scott Miller will join the company's dancers in the performance.

The Saturday matinee preview costs $5. Sunday matinee costs $15 for adults, $10 for children younger than 12. Evening shows cost $17 for adults, $10 for kids, and includes dancing with the Robbie DaCosta Trio.
