Up-and-coming Eugene rock band Blue Lotus will make its Ashland debut at 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Caldera Tap House, 31 Water St., Ashland. The cover is $5.
Since its genesis in 2010, the band has grown a large West Coast fan base, received radio play in several states and, for the last two years, was featured as one of Relix magazine's Bands on the Rise.
Blue Lotus — singer and songwriter Brandelyn Rose, guitarist Felix Blades, bassist Ben Bosse, percussionist Peter Allen, keyboardist Ron Puso and drummer Charlie Davis — plays original songs rooted in rock and blues with elements of bluegrass, jazz and funk. It's a "high-energy, fun and danceable melodic hybrid," according to the band's website.
