The Siskiyou Woodcraft Guild will host its 34th annual Fine Woodworking Show on Thanksgiving weekend in Ashland.
The juried show will feature a variety of decorative and functional works made from local, domestic and imported woods by 18 guild members.
"It's the only time in the year when you can see this kind of artistry all in one place," says guild president Tom Phillips.
The show will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Great Hall, 70 E. Main St., Ashland.
Highlights this year include a bench in the shape of a salmon by Russell Beebe of Phoenix; elegant, veneer furniture by Don DeDobbeleer of Etna, Calif.; wood-turned, decorative vessels by Dan Tilden of Ashland; functional bowls by Will Sears of Talent; Greene and Greene-stye chairs by Herb Harris of Ashland; and contemporary furniture by Jens Sehm of Ashland. Most woodworkers also will be accepting commissions.
