Top-ranked Brock Gutches won by fall for the Raiders, pinning Jared Miller in 2 minutes, 24 seconds in the 174-pound bout. But SOU acquired its only other points in a forfeit awarded to Tyler Cowger at 149 pounds.

Cameron Neiss (141 pounds), Ethan Hinebauch (165) and Garrett DeMers each had pins for Northern.

SOU was wrestling without top-ranked Taylor Johnson (197) and fifth-ranked Jacob Abrams (184).

The Raiders travel today to No. 6 Great Falls (Mont.) for a dual and will round out the week Sunday at the Spokane (Wash.) Open.
