Rogue Valley artist Linda Evans will present plein air, pastel paintings from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27, at Belle Fiore Winery, Estate and Vineyard, 955 Dead Indian Memorial Road, Ashland.
Evans will demonstrate her artistic techniques at the show. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and art from the University of California at Davis, where she studied with Wayne Thiebaud, Manuel Neri, William Wiley, Roland Peterson, Jose Arguelles and Robert Arneson.
She worked as an esthetician, educator and retail business owner until early 2006, when — at a turning point in her life — she heard an inner voice telling her to "paint for the joy of it."
Medford artist Roni Marsh introduced Evans to the fine art of pastel painting. She also studied with Terri Ford and Bob Rohm in 2007, and with Albert Handell in 2009 and 2010.
