Jay C. Kaylor was remembered by his immediate family at the Eagle Point National Cemetery on Oct. 11, 2013. Jay passed away at the age of 99, October 4, 2013.

The Civilian Conservation Corp., know as the CCC's brought Jay to the Rogue Valley in the 1930s from his birthplace in the state of Alabama. When WWII broke out Jay enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Pacific.

December 1, 1941, was a joyous day for Jay when he married Nancy Fay Durham who preceded him in death in 1999.

Jay is survived by three children, Jay Clifford, Talmage Edward and Lucinda Ann Cope. He was proud of his four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is survived by two of his six siblings, his brother, Dan and sister Myrtice who reside in Alabama.

Jay was the owner of Kaylor Electric, which is now owned by his son, Tal, and renamed Kaylor and Son Electric. Breeding and raising quarter horses was Jay's passion in life.
