The Hill at Paddy Brannan's

 Posted: 2:00 AM September 12, 2013

The Hill, based in Eureka, Calif., plays gritty, grungy country that has been described as a fist fight between Hank Williams and Kurt Cobain.

The band, featuring Joel Booker, Jacob Lopez, Burly Dent and Edward Trimmachine, will present its "honkypunk" at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, at Paddy Brannan's Irish Pub, 23 S. Second St., Ashland, and at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at The Grotto Pizzeria, 302 E. Main St., Talent. Both shows are free.

For information, look for the band on Facebook.
