Court date set for pair accused of sex acts on Vegas flight

 Posted: 5:30 PM September 03, 2013

Two Rogue Valley residents will enter pleas next month in Nevada on federal charges that they engaged in repeated sex acts in airline seats in front of fellow passengers on a June flight from Medford to Las Vegas.Jessica Stroble and former Troon Vineyard director Christopher Martin have an Oct. 16 date in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas to enter pleas on one misdemeanor count each of performing lewd, indecent and obscene acts on an airplane.

The pair are accused of having oral sex twice while seated together June 21 on an Allegiant Air flight in front of fellow passengers and continuing despite warnings from a flight attendant, according to court records.

U.S. Magistrate Judge George Foley Jr. ruled that the pair do not have to appear at their court dates and that their Las Vegas attorneys can represent them in proceedings.

The upcoming court date was set during a brief hearing Wednesday that neither Martin nor Stroble attended.

If convicted, they face up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.

Martin has taken a leave of absence from his post at Troon.
