William Joseph Needham passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013, at his home in Central Point, Ore. Joe was born June 4, 1954 in Culver City, Calif. and grew up on the Greensprings in Ashland, Ore. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1972.
He loved spending time on the Greensprings his whole life. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Joe was also passionate about cars and trucks, and spent a great amount of time working on his 1969 Pontiac and anything else. He could frequently be found at the drag strip and loved car shows and the Medford Cruise every year with his family.
He is survived by three daughters, Leslie Needham, Sherry Hargis, and Kelly Etchison; their mother, Monica Needham; four grandchildren, Andrew and Alivia Hargis, and Jordan and Kennedy Etchison; two sisters, Christine Acosta and Debby VanDerPuil; and his cousin, Richard Varin. He was preceded in death by his father, William Needham; his mother, Mary Rogge; and her husband, Lou Rogge.
A celebration of Joe's life is being planned for his family and many friends. He is greatly loved and missed by everyone whose life he touched.
