  • Oregon Shakespeare Festival has canceled tonight's performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream."
To make up for canceled shows, the festival has added two performances of "King Lear" in the Thomas Theatre at 8 pm. Sunday, Aug. 4., and Tuesday, Aug. 6. Patrons can purchase tickets or exchange current tickets for either of these shows by calling the Box Office at 800-219-8161 or 541-482-4331.
Daily decisions about outdoor performances will be posted at www.osfashland.org/smoke and announced on the bricks. Ticketholders who provided email addresses at the time of purchase will get email announcements, officials said.
The Green Show performances this week have been moved to Carpenter Hall. If the air quality improves by 4: p.m., then the shows will be relocated back to the Green Show stage.
The Ashland City Band has canceled its performance today in Lithia Park's Butler Band Shell.
The City of Ashland has closed Daniel Meyer Pool for today. Pool workers will make decisions on whether to close the pool on a day-to-day basis, but tentatively plan to reopen Friday.
Free swim passes will be issued to participants in canceled swimming lessons, with passes distributed at the next regularly scheduled swim class. Staff is exploring additional reimbursement options, officials said.
