Bobbe Lee Griffith, age 85, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home in Medford, Ore. He was born July 29, 1927 in Redding, Calif. to Reece Allen Griffith and Marjorie Vogel.
Bobbe grew up in Klamath Falls, Ore. and graduated from Klamath Union High School in 1945. Shortly after high school he joined the U.S. Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1950.
In 1951 he married Carol Bernadette Baker who preceded him in death.
Bobbe had been a member of the Jaycees, Lions Club and Elks Lodge. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He worked for the State of Oregon until retiring at the age of 70.
Survivors include four children; daughter, Lyn (Dan) Hobbs, of Medford, sons, Andy L. Griffith, of Medford, Dan R. Griffith, of Medford, and Scott T. Griffith, of San Jose, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest beside Carol after a graveside service at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford with a reception to follow.
