In celebration of the summer solstice, singer and songwriter Alice DiMicele will present her original, nature-inspired Americana at 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, on the lawn outside the Applegate River Lodge, 15100 Highway 238, Applegate.
"I love nature," DiMicele says. "I'm an outdoors woman. I was a river guide. I am an avid hiker, backpacker and a big-time gardener, so being outside and interacting with wildlife, the soil and rivers is part of who I am and my music."
DiMicele will be accompanied by her band, including Jeff Pevar (guitar and bass), Mikey Stevens (guitar, bass and trumpet) and Crystal Reeves (violin, viola and mandolin).
DiMicele will perform at the Applegate Lodge. Tickets cost $15. Singer and songwriter David Kai will open the show. Call 541-761-9394 for information.
