 Posted: 12:00 PM June 18, 2013

New volunteers are being sought at ScienceWorks Hands-on Museum in Ashland, and the museum will host an orientation this weekend for anyone who's interested.

The orientation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at the museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland.

Prospective volunteers will learn to run the Painting Pendulum, be an exhibit interpreter, and lead educational activities. Office workers and Bear Garden helpers also are sought.

For information, contact volunteer coordinator Courtney Anglin at 541-482-6767, or by email at volunteer@scienceworksmuseum.org to schedule an interview. Orientation is free.
