North Mountain Park will have a class and walk to teach about edible and medicinal plants from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the park's Nature Center, 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland.

North Mountain Park will have a class and walk to teach about edible and medicinal plants from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the park's Nature Center, 620 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland.

Attendees will learn about the region's medicinal and edible plants, along with plant identification, medicine-making procedures, folklore, and biochemistry. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

The class costs $30 per person and is for ages 13 and up. Register at www.ashland.or.us/register.
