The Bear Creek Boutique Wineries are hosting a Grape Expectations wine tour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16.
A $25 passport is good for three wine tastings with appetizers at each of the eight, family-owned tasting rooms in Ashland, Talent and Medford.
Grizzly Peak Winery at 1600 E. Nevada St. in Ashland will pair a 2011 Viognier ($20) with grilled stone fruit, a 2010 Syrah ($25) with Gouda and a 2010 Tempranillo ($25) with chocolate.
Performing from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday is Tanner Richie, a pop/R&B band with a jazz flavor, and on Sunday Jeff Kloetzel will perform on his rhythmic guitar.
Dana Campbell Vineyards' tasting room at 1320 N. Mountain Ave. in Ashland will showcase a newly released 2010 Malbec ($28) served with bite-sized chocolate brownies.
There also will be pours of two chilled, summer favorites: 2011 Viognier ($22) paired with tabbouleh and 2010 Vionillo ($28), a rare blend of white viognier and red tempranillo paired with savory pulled pork.
Regular tasting flights ($5) and the Lite Bite menu also will be available. Visitors can wander outside to play a game of bocce ball.
Trium Wines, at 7112 Rapp Lane in Talent, will pour a 2012 Viognier ($20) with a green salad mixed with mandarins, pineapple and a dressing made with verjus, nonalcoholic, unfermented grape juice. The 2007 Growers Cuvee ($26) will be paired with a slice of baguette topped with a triple cream and salami. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon ($38) will go with a shortbread Nutella and hazelnut bite.
Tickets, which are limited, can be purchased in advance for $20 by Friday, June 14, at any of the Bear Creek Boutique Wineries (www.bearcreekwineries.com), including Weisinger's of Ashland, 3150 Siskiyou Blvd.
