The lights are back on following a Pacific Power outage that affected nearly 1,000 customers in Ashland and Talent, company officials say.
The outage was first reported at 1:35 p.m. today but power was back online by about 2:06 p.m. Pacific Power spokesman Tom Gauntt said an issue with the relay communication between towers was the culprit.
"If something happens and the system senses that (it's) not doing what it's supposed to do, it, for it's own safety's sake, shuts it down temporarily," Gauntt said.
Customers along and near Valley View Road, Coral Lane and Highway 99 were affected.
