UPDATED: Two crashes reported on I-5 near Ashland

5:55 p.m. All lanes of Interstate 5 have reopened after two crashes in the southbound lanes near Ashland this afternoon, the Oregon Department of Transportation reports.

5:10 p.m. Oregon Department of Transportation reports that the southbound fast lane is open near Ashland following two crashes.

Drivers should expect congestion and delays until the slow lane is open and traffic clears, officials said.

4:40 p.m. A pair of crashes are tying up traffic on southbound Interstate 5 through the Ashland area.

The Oregon Department of Transportation reports that the southbound lanes near Ashland are blocked by a crash at mile 14.5 and congestion from slowing traffic has caused a secondary crash at mile 16. Expect congestion and delays in the area, officials said.

TripCheck.com web site posted a warning of the first crash at 3:52 p.m. near the I-5 intersection with Highway 66. The site noted the second crash at 4:13 p.m.
