Delta Halos

 Posted: 9:40 AM May 30, 2013

Delta Halos started out as the studio identity of Medford multi-instrumentalist Kyle Cregan (Idle Threats), but it wasn't long before his reputation outgrew his studio.

Although he continues to spend the majority of his time recording, Cregan's demos have landed him frequent gigs between Portland and San Francisco.

In concert, he plays primarily acoustic soul music, but in the studio, he fills out his soundscape with piano, bass, drums, violin, mandolin and other instruments.

He's released two recordings — "Demos E.P.," available on CD Baby, and a 10-track acoustic demo, which has since sold out. His third recording, "All Along the Western Front," is due out this summer.

Cregan will perform an intimate concert, featuring originals, as well as songs by Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Otis Redding and other '60s favorites, at 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Enoteca Wine Tasting & Bistro, 17 N. Main St., Ashland. The show is free.
