Barbara W. Kuhn passed away peacefully in her home at Horton Plaza Tuesday, May 7, 2013. She was born Barbara Gretchen Waterman to Drs. Meredith and Pauline Waterman September 25, 1922 in Monrovia, Calif. Barbara and her sister, Nancy, grew up in Monrovia. After high school she attened the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in history. She then returned to Southern California and received her teaching credential from UCLA and taught 3rd grade in Monrovia.
Barbara married Bob Kuhn October 11, 1947. They were married for 52 years. They lived various places due to Bob's military assignments and his career moves. Most of their early years were spent in the San Francisco Bay Area and the last 50 years they have resided in Medford.
Barbara was a member of the RVCC and an avid golfer. For over 25 years she served as a pink lady at Rogue Valley Hospital. She was on the Altar Guild at St. Mark's and a member of Chapter CG, of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
Barbara is survived by a brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; eight nieces and nephews; and many great-and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services for Barbara will be held at the Eagle Point National Cemetery Monday, May 13, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chapter CG, P.E.O. Sisterhood c/o Marilyn Rebal, 266 Echo Way, Eagle Point, Ore. 97524 or American Diabetes Association.
